Jalayimiya is an Aboriginal-owned fashion label founded by Walmajarri woman Brodie George. Based in Western Australia, the brand creates bold, sustainable swimwear and clothing that celebrates cultural storytelling, body diversity, and women’s empowerment. Each design features original artwork inspired by Brodie’s connection to Country and her desert heritage in Fitzroy Crossing, Kimberley.

Originally launched in 2022 as a print-on-demand swimwear concept, Jalayimiya has evolved into a growing fashion brand committed to ethical production, inclusive sizing, and community representation. The brand champions Aboriginal models, often featuring friends and family, and intentionally avoids airbrushing to honour natural beauty. Jalayimiya has been featured in Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, and debuted on the runway at New York Fashion Week – but remains grounded in its community roots.
